That final segment was...something. Certainly planted seeds for Wyatt/Lesnar it seemed to me. Whether that's for Mania or just a Rumble angle we'll see.

That was not a particularly good episode of Raw. The Becky Lynch stuff, the end segment were the only real highlights to me.

The thing was it was such a bad segment with the tumbler. If they only did it once and Roman then came out, broke all the balls and revealed them to all reveal his name, then it's probably better than redraw after redraw. They also had a lot of wonky results on RAW last night that don't really make much sense in the grand scheme or leading into a PPV.

Also, just want to say that poor Tyler Breeze. Dude never even had a chance on the main roster before they started burying him and took away the one woman who was by his side without an angle or anything.

It is the Royal Rumble, Red, not a 60 minute 1 vs 1 Iron Man match. Even if Roman is going to go on and win from #1 he will not be wrestling for an hour plus. There will be lots of punch trading in the corners and clinging to the ropes while other guys hug your leg as the 'attempt' to get each other of the ring.

So that final segment certainly set up some stuff, and at least acknowledges that Wyatt is one of the more serious contenders even if he is the distraction contender. It could set up possibilities like Bray, and or the Family, costing Lesnar the win either by throwing him out during the match or by eliminating Lesnar after he has been eliminated. Setting up a #1 contenders match at Fastlane and/or a three way dance at 'Mania.

Although I think that the main thrust of the ending of the Rumble will be Lesnar and Reigns.

Maybe they are just using distractions to keep people from guessing too easily, but Lesnar/Wyatt and HHH/Reigns seem more likely to be me than Lesnar/Reigns at Wrestlemania. They've just invested far too much in HHH/Reigns in my eyes.

Im pretty sure that whole tumbler thing was a rehash from 1999 (if my year is correct)

Vince/Shane were picking balls out for the number 1 entry and Stone Cold's name was repeatedly coming out - this was during his battle with the then Corporation.

Are they really running out of ideas now or just hoping that its mainly kids that were born in the early 00's that are watching now?

I think with all the injuries they are running out of ideas, Or they have ideas but because Vince never thought of them he shoots them down

Oh fuck off. 1999 is closer to TWENTY YEARS AGO than it is to ten. Writing is cyclical, especially in wrestling. Hell, isn't the average "recycle timeframe" 7 years? I'd say 17 is a good enough time as any to bring something back.

I would not be against New Day opening the show and welcoming the new champ.

Oh and also I wouldn't be stunned if we got another McMahon baby in 9 months. Papa H did good last night and Mama Steph had to reward him.

WWE are teasing that a "major" star will be returning tonight "on the road to Wrestlemania"

My first thoughts were Batista but I have no idea if he's busy or not. It seems too soon for Undertaker to appear. Maybe Daniel Bryan has finally been given the thumbs up by WWE doctors?

In lesser news, Stardust has blacked out his Twitter profile picture claiming "Stardust is dead". Might turn out to be nothing, but the immediate assumption is that maybe he'll go back to portraying Cody Rhodes.

And a third edit. Nikki Bella needs neck surgery and will be out at least six months.
"My favourite spot is the one where I would pick him up for an aeroplane spin and rotate as many times as possible. He’d be so dizzy that he would try to pin the referee, and I’d count to three and he’d think that he won - Daniel Bryan
