What are your thoughts on commentators doing 2 shows?

Post by isrs4life » Fri Sep 29, 2017 9:22 pm

I sometimes think its not right like how at the end of the original brand split they had Michael Cole doing both Raw and Smackdown
and once Smackdown had JR and Tod Grisham and now Corey Graves is doing Raw and Smackdown when I thought Graves would be done
with Raw but they still have him...

If the guy is good enough, then I am all for it. Graves is good (although he can be a bit much from time to time) and I think he'll do well in his dual role. I also do like when good, qualified commentators get chances, which is why I was pulling for either Nigel or Reene Young getting a shot with JBL being gone.

I am tired of the whole 3 man team thing and wish they would just go back to 2 man teams, but that's an entirely different conversation.

Why is it not right for a commentator to work two shows? What is the issue? When Smackdown first launched Jerry Lawler was on commentary in addition to Raw. For the longest time in the modern era Michael Cole was on both Raw and Smackdown. This isn't something new.
