Would you read more of that story I had shared a while ago if I shared again? I have done more and am working on some edits and cleanup, and am trying to get some motivation to jump back into it. So it would be helpful to get some feedback/encouragement

I dunno just felt like a question needed to be asked for posterity

Is it weird that I think The Force Awakens was a spectacular movie, that I'd make an argument that it's the best Star Wars movie, that I pre-ordered it on Blu-Ray, but still have only watched it the one time in theaters and still haven't watched it at home yet?

Ya, I totally get that. It's better to only revisit something when it'll have maximum impact again. Having it in your back pocket so that you can just pop it in is helpful.

I have a pretty sizeable BR collection right now but I often don't pop one on because of a problem I have with fan noise. I like to have something as a collectors item but increasingly I'm leaving them on the shelf.

I've read to page 25 but I haven't had a look at it in about a week and a half, I've had a load of random shit pop up in the last week. I'm sorry, I'll be sure to continue on in the near future.

Is Orphan Black dead to you? I didn't realize there had been a 4th season that finished airing because you never mentioned a word about it

Dead? That's way too extreme man. I've seen a lot of stuff that I just don't mention sometimes. (Up to page 35 on your novella now that I think of it.) For no particular reason other than I get sidetracked by running errands, coursework, sorting out paperwork for my new job or what have you. I've seen the most recent season, maybe it's a subconscious reason why I don't mention it because I don't do it on purpose. I enjoy it immensely, it's fun but maybe I don't like remarking upon things as it gears up to go down its homestretch as Orphan Black is doing, I prefer to see dominos start falling and then come to conclusions. S1 to me is still it's best, S5 will be it's last, I hope they get a good ending out of it. It looks like they might.

I was being overly dramatic on purpose, my bad. You were just so into talking about either season 2 or 3, I forget which...I think it was 3, that it was infectious. So you not talking about season 4 at all struck me as surprising when I got reminded that Orphan Black is still on.

Glad to hear you are still enjoying it though. I just popped in season 3's first episode to start catching myself up as well

haha no worries man, let me know what you think. S3's got some uneven and some very explosive parts but S4 is where it really begins to set up its final season.

So I just got to the part of Orphan Black S3 with Alison/her husband making it rain half naked in bed, including upside down twerking. That was weird for you too, right?

Oh that, that was just out there, don't give a fuck if it tanks just going to do it anyway kind of thing.

I thought it was bizarre but kinda fit with the cluelessness of Donnie and Alison so it kinda makes sense. At least when they throw stuff at the wall they give it a bit of thought first, it's not baked into the cake so if it doesn't pan out they can just move on.

So what were your thoughts on my response to your question about child rearing?

It was a pretty cool response actually, I really just wanted to know where you saw the line because I definitely wouldn't want them restricted by just the things I liked, I want them to have their own ideas and tastes too with just a sprinkling of my influences. That's part of the reason why I keep track of the films I watch and the music I listen to as well to see what ages well over time and what doesn't. Interesting thoughts about Star Wars, my order was I,II,IV,V,VI,III. I saw the original trilogy after the release of II and III, boy having the bar raised like that was such a wonderful thing. Even then I knew that I didn't fully understand those films but I knew how special they were and to take note in order to relieve them for decades to come. Finally, That bit about respect was neat too.
