Fed the cat and scooped his box.

Posted on a board I have visited once in twelve years at midnight when I have to be up for work at half six. Wrestlemania brought me here one last time I guess - that and nostalgia, the most powerful emotion going today.

This was the first messafe board I ever joined, aged about twelve/thirteen - remember finally realising what the internet was for and being almost addicted to posting here for a few months, in the days of dial up.

I like to think my life has come a long way since then and I'm pretty successful and reasonably cool these days with a career/relationship/life etc....but I guess deep inside we will all forever be those bored, secretly nerdy kids/teenagers who posted on a wrestling forum in 2003/2004.

And in those days talked to the other members about wrestling and life on AIM and MSN and had online feuds and played in e-feds. More innocent days, I suppose, before social networking when the internet really was mostly anonymous and seemed freer and more interesting for it.

More sociable too - I spent most time online conversing with people all over the world who I never met and never knew, rather than these days where we just interact with people we know in real life.

Pouring my heart out to an empty void of a forum online in the early hours of the morning. If that isn't a fitting tribute to what the internet used to be, I don't know what it.

And despite my life going quite well, if I could go back to being thirteen and having nothing to worry about except going to school and posting online and backyard wresling and video games, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Wow, there's an old user not seen in a while.
Noticed a post by Quinn too.

Let's get the old band back together...reunions are in!

To be honest I was pretty drunk and weak when I posted that last night, filled with nostalgia. The past is best left where it is.
