didn't think this belonged under the upcoming UFC card thread but this is huge news for MMA fans.

the fight is being put on my Mark Cuban's HDNet Fights and will be promoted by the Affliction clothing line.

I'm excited about this and look for Big Timmy to give Fedor some competition. I look for Fedor to take this to the ground, though, and finish the fight by submission.

Well, I guess we can't really say Fedor's ducking top-level talent now. This is huge for Fedor and will cement his legacy (and it won't be bad for his marketability). But, at the same time, this is a terrible fight for Sylvia. He's got a chance of winning, but a slim one, and him losing could really hurt his credibility. I'm surprised they're cutting straight to the chase and doing Fedor/Sylvia instead of having Sylvia get a "tune-up" fight or two under his belt after his loss to Nogeuira.

Sylvia has been top HW for a while so you know he's use to it, he doesnt need a tune-up fight for Fedor. I've been reading alot of other sites and they're saying Fedor will kill Sylvia, which I think is a mistake. He's beaten some great fighters and although I picked Fedor to win this is no easy fight for him.

i think it's really going to come down to how well tim can defend the takedown. we saw in his last fight with nog that the guy can bang with the best of them but falters when it makes it to the mat.

i'm with evolution on the early predictions. i think fedor will likely pull this one out, but he can't take tim lightly. i hope he can make it competitive and really show fedor he's gonna have to work for his wins.

If Tim can unleash those fists on Fedor then who knows, but pre-match, got to go with Fedor by submission.
