Well, yeah, if you want to be all reasonable, and stuff. Emotionally justified or not, it sure was a PR nightmare, as far as timing goes.

So it's okay to turn your back on your brother, until the pr is good? That's no less hypocritical than what the NFL let happen

Adrian Peterson has just been deactivated and most likely will be landing the same fate as Ray Rice after he beat his young son with a branch. Greg Hardy I guess also has a domestic violence issue too? Wow the NFL is becoming a pretty disgusting place.

The way this season has gone down has been certifiably, batshit insane.

And there are still 14-15 weeks of regular season to go.

Fuck you Peterson. I love(d) him as a player but he should go down for a long time for this. Inexcusable.

Sports are suppose to be an escape from all this BS, instead its becoming the center stage for it.

Vikings deactivated him for Sunday.

Greg Hardy and Ray McDonald are still active for the Panthers and 49ers, respectively.

Jama how much do you think this will hurt the Vikings this season? (Assuming Peterson is gone long term)

As someone who has been whooped with a switch, I can safely say:

A). I've never been whooped by an NFL running back
B). The whooper knew to stop before you leave serious marks

So yeah...

Pretty significantly. The dropoff from Peterson to Asiata at running back is staggering.

Also, fun fact I found out over the past couple days.

There have been about 56 players charged with DV since Goodell took over as commish.

~31 of them suffered no suspensions or fines.
~10 were cut by their team.
The longest suspension that any one player had... 2 Games.

The possibility exists that Goodell saw the tape, and thought 2 games was harsh enough, based on his previous track record. He could be backtracking on everything now because the public is a bit more... savvy, in the know... more connected, and it came on the heels of those drug suspensions.

Of course not. Sometimes, there is no right answer.

The NFL's public relations people have probably gotten ulcers and ripped out most of their hair this past week alone.

Im not sure the media or courts who ever is responsible should be posting the pictures of the young boy's injuries in the Peterson case, for the sake of the child's privacy.

There's a fine line between dicipline and beating a child. Those wounds were nasty, and AP is a dude who can hurt you by just shaking your hand...
