Acknowledging Jama's affection for Evie doesn't diminish your affection for Evie, Greg. I'm sure she can share you both equally

She's a Kiwi, and therefor capable of sharing all people, places and things. It's *ME* who has trouble sharing.

Lucky for us all your opinions don't matter in her fan club. You just run a chapter, it's her club

I was going to hitch my cart to one horse in the race, and it just happened to be Evie.

Which reminds me, I have a show to watch to figure out who exactly all these ladies are.

Volume 54, and if that sticks, I'll probably end up purchasing 58 to get a little more recent.

Alright, I'm done muddying up your thread with my journey of discovery. A thread exists in the indy wrestling forum for that.

Barkley write-up coming in the coming days.

I feel like some insinuations about my character are being made here.

Can't put my finger on it though.

Women's Wrestling Weekly

SHIMMER Volume 13 Reaction

By: Jason Barkley

Unfortunately, the "special edition" of this column didn't pan out. I had planned to do an interview podcast [In Text - Jama7301] featuring WWW head, Corey Johnson, but schedules and technology didn't line up, so you get a regular column today.

We get the Devious One, Saraya Knight facing off against Serena Deeb for the SHIMMER Championship. The match was good, due to Saraya's antics carrying the slower portions, but once again, Deeb keeps coming out on top.

What I think is happening is that Deeb has gone rogue. I think she was supposed to lose to Saraya tonight, all signs pointed to it, but she selfishly decided to keep the title for herself. It looked like she was forcibly keeping Saraya from kicking out of that Spear, just so she could stroke her ego and pad her reign as the SHIMMER champion. That's not even mentioning how those forearms she was dropping before the Spear were clearly landing hard, and might've even concussed Knight.

It's the only logical explanation. I expect Prazak to address this on the next volume of SHIMMER. I think something may have been suspected at Volume 12, which may be why Veda AND Lovelace were welcomed by the Originals. Good on the Originals for taking the law into their own hands, punishing the corrupt champion.

Focusing on the other title match, I really thought the Dynasty needed to take one of these matches to keep their momentum going, and the Tag Titles seemed like a good way to push Rhia and Nikki as legit threats, and as a dangerous pair of foot soldiers at Saraya's disposal.

I don't even know what the Lucha Sisters were doing tonight, some sort of zombie thing, whatever. Every time their comedy routine messes with the head of their opponents, it makes their opponents seem incompetent and stupid. If you think about it, the Luchas are actively burying their opponents by making them look stupid and unable to look past a silly outfit.

The blowoff for the Nakagawa/Skater feud was academic. Nakagawa can stooge around in the upper midcard, waiting for her time to challenge for the belt, and Skater is clear to do the same. And hey, they've got a built in feud for whenever they need it. Good booking SHIMMER.

Quick shout out to the Originals for leading Veda and Heidi to a really solid match. It's amazing what good leadership can do in a match.

Undercard Overachiever

I can't believe I'm being forced to put Madison Eagles in this section, but she had a great night. From the acting in the backstage segment, to the demolition of Allysin Kay in a rebound match, Eagles was the star of the undercard.

Jessicka Havok, Melanie Cruise, Evie, & Athena - These gals had a great opener on this volume. Havok and Cruise looked crisp on offense, and Evie and Athena sold like champs.

Canadian Ninjas - Proving again that they're the best tag team in women's wrestling.

That's all I've got for today. I'll be seeing you after Volume 14. For Women's Wrestling Weekly, I'm Jason Barkley, signing off.

Someone...was extra salty this month.

He wasn't even trying to get details right in his recap. Wonderful, wonderful. I may never take the belts off of Serena or Leva at this rate

Yeah, sounds about right. The Deeb title reign is making him mad, in both senses of the word.
