I still have to play the first one. Need to get me a PS3/4 and get on that.

Been adding to my NES collection, though. Got Crystalis, Super Spike Volley Ball and Bugs Bunny Birthday Blowout lately. Crystalis and Super Spike are still fun as all hell. Bugs Bunny is entertaining, but god damn, for a side scroller it does not have very smooth scrolling. Also, Yosemite Sam, who is only the second world boss, is effin' impossible to beat.

Going somewhat backwards on the CoD franchise. Been playing bo3 for the last several months, after reaching prestige several times I started to find the maps and weapons were becoming redundant. The game is also too goddamn heavy. A few things I find always seem to cause too much lag.

I forked over $50 and bought a digital copy of Advanced Warfare. I find that one a bit heavy too. I don't like using the loot system and have several small issues with the game.

A couple days later they had bo2 on sale so I bought that one. I'd played it before but never owned it. Probably my favorite in the franchise. Seems like there's just the right amount of stuff. No servers issues. Most of the migrations seem to go through and there's always plenty of people playing.

It's a shame how the NES Classic is out of stock literally everywhere. Been wanting to pick one up for awhile.

Been writing some stuff for an RPG campaign. If friends get off their ass, that should be fun to play. Otherwise, who knows what I'll do with the prep.

For video games, digging through Breath of the Wild, FIFA 17, Minecraft (again), and Mario Golf Toadstool Tour. Might take a dive into Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door in the near future.

Good ol' Mario Golf. Always good for a few rounds.

What sort of RPG campaign? DnD?

Yeah.

Running a 5th edition game through a more 'live' play-by-post format, to work around people's schedules, in Discord. Taking some stuff from one of the main campaign settings, throwing other parts of it out, and reshaping it. Also, incorporating a few things from another RPG called "Dungeon World", which has some delightful systems that can work in almost any RPG.

Dungeon World is very narrative focused, so a lot of the things it discusses is things like "If a village is this size, give it x amount of tags from the list below". And the tags are things like "Fealty" or "Protected" or "resource", things that are great for evoking specific mental images with a word. If a village is small, but has Resource, it's abundant in that specific thing, which can help shape a narrative quirk. It's a delightful little system.

Yeah, what's the deal with that?

I'm not much of a game player, but I wanted to pick one of these up after Christmas, because it has Galaga on it. A few coworkers and I used to play that game regularly at a bar after work, way back when. But no one seems to have it, or they want some outrageous price for it. Do they ever plan to re-issue the thing?

They're still being manufactured and shipped, just at a slow pace. From what ive heard, Nintendo doesn't like to keep hardware overhead, so they under-produce consoles like a motherfucker.

With Breath of the Wild finished and Final Fantasy XV needing an eighteen gig (friggin' ridiculous) update to play, I decided it's time to break out Suikoden II for another run.

If you want to play the real servers, I can cover your game time for free for a few months. They have something called the wow token, using ingame currency to buy wow time (or $15 battle.net currency) which another player has bought with real cash. I've got enough gold for several months of tokens.
