Megaman always had great soundtracks, and the composers had a lot of fun with them, I bet you'll love this vid:

On the topic of Chrono Trigger.

The OneUps are probably my favorite video game band. Jazz covers of video game music is glorious.

Schalas theme, very nice. Love her theme, she's one character I thought we never got enough of in the game. She's really interesting and could of had a lot more story to tell.

Awesome. Especially relevant to me given my own recent playthrough of that game.

Same guy did Spark Mandrill as well. He's pretty good at covering those songs with his acapella.

Welp, destroying my ears. Found a playlist some dude made of his like, top 100 Battle musics from RPGs. Pretty sure I''m going to be here awhile, even if I'm skipping some of them.

Goddamn, forgot how good that Tales of the Abyss rendition was of their main theme was when they mixed it for a fight music.

The lack of Persona 3 is troublesome, but not altogether unexpected.

I stand corrected. Was just way up the list.

Because this page crashed my browser, I've decided going forward I'll only include links and not embed youtube in the post. This one here is from the 25th Anniversary of Distant World's in London and is the entire opera scene from Final Fantasy VI, one of my all time favourite moments in video gaming:

That was fuckin' awesome. I saw Distant Worlds when they came to Minneapolis in 2008. The live performance of the Opera was kickass.

I have a copy of the CD my friend got that night on my computer, if you want, I could drop box it for you. Granted, it's not that night's performance, of course, but still.

My tickets were gotten after my two friend's tickets, so I didn't have a backstage pass like they did. It was one of the few shows where Uematsu was actually in the building, so they got stuff signed by him. One of my friends brought a sealed, Japanes copy of FFV to be signed for one of his friends back home.
