Once it's in there, it's there for good.

Another song that sticks with ya. Well, me anyway. To Zanarkand from Final Fantasy X. I think it's exclusion from X-2 and replacement with hyper J-Pop was one of my main dislikes with that game. Anyway, here's my favourite violinist covering it.

Okay, I'm a fan of Lindsay Stirling, amazing violinist, does great work on her electronic originals that incorporate her violin but this cover is just fantastic:

I know I've banged on the OneUps train a lot, but since I've started playing more Mega Man X, this is relevant to my listening lately.

Interesting that you bring this topic up, I was just perusing iTunes increasing selection of video game soundtracks and covers and came across the first cover of my favourite Chrono Trigger track that I actually liked enough to buy. The song is To Faraway Times, here's the LINK to the original. I can't find the cover of it on the guy's YouTube channel, I figure it's there somewhere but he doesn't organise his covers by game or album it seems: LINK

Suffice it to say it went over well with me. I usually don't take much stock in the composers who rely on "synthetic orchestras" because it usually amounts to "I set my keyboard to a string and brass combo" but this guy actually nails it with a fully realised orchestral piece that almost sounds genuine. I think you'll enjoy his covers Jama.

As for that One Up's cover of Megaman X's Boomer Kuwanger stage, that's a groovy tune. That's the only word I could use to describe it. I like it.

Yeah, I hopped over from that guy's playlist over to the Synthetic Orchestra's channel. They got a lot of interesting stuff on there. Disorganized, a bit, but interesting to look through.

Jama, do you have the third album in the Final Fantasy Piano Opera set? It would cover FFVII, VIII & IX? I just found out they made one for those three games too.

"To Zanarkand" from Final Fantasy X has been finding its way to the top of my playlists lately, it's such a beautiful, haunting piece.

The theme music from the final boss of Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. There is a gigantic sense of urgency presented before the battle takes place. Literally a case of end of the world if you don't succeed. The boss itself is quite challenging and took me over 15 minutes to kill, all of which is constantly full of action. I found the music hugely added to the immersion of the fight.

Oh Xenogears, you magnificent game with your wonderful soundtrack composed by the amazing Yasunori Mitsuda. I came across this track only yesterday and it's a favourite of mine already:

A month and a bit since completing Xenogears and its soundtrack is still firmly lodged in my head.

That's the sign of a good game right there.

One of the Splatoon Multiplayer tracks. The aesthetic of the music is so bizarre, but it fits the rest of the game so well.

They list a Xenoblades game at some point. I know nothing at all about the game, but the music they presented made me want to buy it.

Hard to argue with the list, though Xenogears could have easily been in there too. Not even an honourable mention for it.

A week after finishing Child of Light, I'm still finding myself repeating the music in my head.

There's some phenomenal stuff, this is a playlist of all the songs

Crazy, I was about to link that song. The whole Undertale song list is amazing.

Here is the full playlist of boss songs. Trivia, every single song (as well as 90% of the actual game) was done by one person.

Picked out a couple of my favourites

Music of the first boss in Bloodborne. It's not quite the same without the giant monster on your screen screaming as it tries to tear you to shreds, but still a chilling thing to listen to on it's own
