Post by isrs4life » Fri Jun 21, 2013 4:06 pm

Has anybody here ever used the program Windows Live Messenger aka MSN Messenger before in there lives
I remember using it when I was a teenager and thought it was cool one time and had a few friends on it not
a lot but enough I think it was just as good as facebook one time now I hear it has rip

from mess.be
R.I.P. Windows Live Messenger (1999-2013)

dwergs says ( 10 Jan 2013 ):
Hello? Is this thing on?

SO THIS IS IT.

Starting April 8 2013, Microsoft will gradually pull the plug on Windows Live Messenger, formerly known as MSN Messenger.

As an alternative, Skype has been made fully compatible with your Messenger account. It will probably take a few months before all users are migrated.

IM has pretty much died. Cellphone texting and Twitter have taken over.

I have Skype and Yahoo Messenger, but rarely use them nowadays. Most of my messaging has either been through Twitter or Facebook chat.

I meant IM on the computer. Most of the old IM stuff like AIM and Yahoo Messenger can be accessed from cell phones these days, but I dunno how many people really use them anymore. Obviously, not enough for Microsoft to stay in the game.

Well, there are a lot of people who still use their Hotmail and it automatically connects to Live. But now it's on Skype, but people seem to be really idiotic on how to link both accounts. IT'S JUST A FRIGGIN LINK DOWN THERE THAT SAYS LINK YOUR MICROSOFT ACCOUNT TO SKYPE YOU IDIOTS!
