What about your own list? Usually the point of list threads is you lead with your own.

Oh well, I'll kick it off, I guess. Can't go exclusive with this one like I did with the GameCube thread.

10. Suikoden III
9. WWF SmackDown vs. Raw 2007
8. Spider-Man 2
7. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
6. Mercenaries
5. Splinter Cell: Double Agent
4. The Warriors
3. Fire Pro Wrestling Returns
2. Suikoden V
1. Final Fantasy X

I was at work and could focus on the list.

1. God of War 2: Easily the best PS2 game, and outstanding addition to the franchise with a hell of a lot of action and a nice twist ending. Seeing Kratos as a ruling god and then him going all Brock Lesnar on some pretty well known all-stars in Greek mythology is a joy to watch.

2. WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2006: Very fun story mode (comeback of ECW when it was actually fun, Eddie Guerrero taking control of The Undertaker, dirtbag JBL or scumbag HHH if you picked a Raw star, and a couple others I can't recall at this moment). This game was a very fun play that I couldn't get enough of.

3.God of War: Probably the hardest playthrough of all God of War games. I was frustrated as hell playing this game but it was worth it to kill Ares and be name the new War God. I read somewhere that the producers/creators didn't know if the game would be a success or not so that basically put everything they had in this one. I loved it.

4. Grand Theft Auto 3: This game really changed alot in the industry and really brought to life a lame franchise. I only played bits of the GTA's on PSone and I was not impressed, but Rockstar really stepped their shit up on this outing. Loved playing it and its sequels.

5. NBA Live 2002: This one isn't for anything regarding game play or anything, this is just all sentiment. I got my first PS2 for Christmas and this was the game my mom got me. Plus playing as Allen Iverson when he was still with the 76ers and the dynasty Lakers with Shaq and Kobe was fun to play. Overall, NBA Live was a shit franchise, but this game has a place in my heart for being my first PS2 game.

6. WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007: Another fun story and a very tight roster with some great legends (all four faces of Foley, Mr. Perfect, Bam Bam Bigelow, The King) and it brought the Money in the Bank match to the series as well.

7.Dragon Ball Z-BT3: Very loaded roster with characters from all 3 series (Dragon Ball, DBZ, and GT). Loved the transformations and it was a blast playing as Grandpa Gohan and as Master Roshi.

8. Grand Theft Auto-San Andres: Probably the best game of the GTA 3 related games (GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andres). Plus getting mentioned during the 2pac rap on Chappelle show is a bonus

9. Spider-Man 2: Game based on probably the best Spider-Man movie, loved playing it.

10. WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2008: Now I know I have shitted on this game a number of times, but like NBA Live '02, this has a sentimental place in my heart. Right after my mom died and before her memorial service, I spent a little bit of time with my older cousin James. Wasn't much, just went to his house, played a little pool, and then just drove around. Right before he dropped he off at home he gave me a PS2 and a spare copy of Smackdown vs Raw 2008. It might not have been anything too special to him, but playing that game took my mind off of my mom anytime I played it. Even though it is a pos game, it deserves a spot just for that.

DBZ-BT3 was the reason why I had to buy a DBZ fighting game for my PS3. Not the most balanced of fighters, but fun.

Will post my list when not on phone.

In no particular order.

Psychonauts - The only game I have ever bought three times (PS2, PC, PS3).

Shadow of the Colossus

Wild Arms 4

Persona 3 (FES or Portable version trump the original)

Final Fantasy X

.Hack Infection

Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2

Okami - 3 versions of this game sitting in my house. 2 PS2 copies, and the PS3 HD remake.

Star Ocean - Til the End of Time - Fuck this game though. I lose 120+ hours of progress due to corrupted memory card.

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

Honorable Mention: Odin Sphere, Fight Night Round 3, Burnout 2, Dark Cloud

I hated Star Ocean - Til the End of Time, death by MP is bullshit.

I didn't mind it, partly because I only had one person who used MP based abilities on my team, and they were the healer. It was fun getting the trophy for killing a certain boss by MP kill as well. I thought about going into more detail with each game, but I said "Fuck it, if somebody talks about the game on the list, I'll say more then". Haha.

That was my problem too, the rest were fighters with low MP so if I saw a battle where the enemies were known for attacking mp, I got automatically pissed because I knew three out of four or my characters were mince meat every damn time.

I always made sure to buff up the characters weak point first. While the MP buffs through training helped, on characters like Cliff, it didn't make too much of a change. So reviving him was a pain, but somehow he managed to avoid MP death a lot... some how.

He was always first down for me, and Albel not far behind him, which sucked as I loved using both. It was even my strategy from Star Ocean: The Second Story too. My party was usually:

Claude
Ashton/Opera (whichever I picked)
Dias (if I started with Rena)
Bowman/Chisato (If I started with Claude)
and Rena as the healer

Star Ocean: TSS was a far better game than its sequel anyway.

I went with Fayt, Cliff, and Nel, and did pretty well for myself. Sometimes swapped out Fayt for Maria for ranged combos, but his combos were fun as hell to abuse too.

This is going to be a "in no partiular order" kind of list

1. Resident Evil 4 - My friend raved at me for about 2 years about how good this game is and finally exhausted it enough that he loaned it to me about a year ago. It is a pretty awesome game. Even the escort missions with Ashley aren't nearly as bad as everyone complained about, but she is a bit of a drag. But this gets bonus points for being the first time in RE history that the knife didn't get automatically dumped, so there's that

2. Devil May Cry 3 - Dante's Awakening: Special Edition - Best Devil May Cry game of the PS2 generation and its not even close. It has the most well imagined weapons combinations, the fighting engine is awesome, Dante is at his peak as an asshole, and the game is challenging as hell. It took me a long time but I beat DMC 1 on Dante Must Die mode. This game is so hard that after years and years I've still never even attempted DMD mode. It's just not worth it. Plus you get to play as Virgil and fuck yeah, Summoned Sword Death.

3. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 - Quite simply the best golf game ever made and one of the best sports games ever made. Period.

4. Gran Turismo 4 - Easily the best car simulator I've ever played

5. Soul Calibur II - While everyone was rocking Tekken, I was repping the Soul series. This game was SO badass with a great fighting engine, a story mode that played so much like an RPG and so many great characters. I loved at least 4 of them way too much to choose a favorite

6. NCAA Football 2006 - I never was much of a Madden player, but I loved his ugly little brother. This was the last year of a major upgrade on the game/dynasty mechanics before the PS3 generation and it was just the most fun. I would spend whole days and nights recruiting, then simulating all the games, so I could get right back on the recruiting trails. That things with the NCAA have fallen apart so completely that they (and the conferences that make up the NCAA) have pulled their support and have probably killed this franchise is a bitter pill for me to swallow

7. Xenosaga Episode III - Also Sprach Zarathustra - Definitely the best installment of a series that holds a soft spot in my heart. They took the good parts from the first and SO VERY inferior second game and tightened a lot of it up to make it a much more fulfilling experience. The biggest flaw for me was taking the skills tree and making it too easy to make everyone a total badass heel. I was playing some old data the other day and my healing character had about 8000 hp (out of 9999) and was maxed out on mp and was single handedly murdering entire groups of opponents on the second to last map of the game. Probably a little unbalanced. But the game knew how to do set pieces. The boss battles were effing ridiculous.

8. Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter - My goodness did this game rock. It had a fun story with characters that were quite lovable and hate you (Fuck you still, Bosch) and the replay value on this game is so intensely ridiculous as you strive to attain the mythical Dragon Quarter rating. To do it, you HAVE to beat a side-quest dungeon that takes about 6-8 hours to complete, and with the hard/soft save system of the game there's virtually no way to stop midway and be able to get the DQ rating. That is just building a needlessly malicious challenge, and God bless them for that. I miss this game enough that I'm considering hitting my friend up for it again just to play it through one more time

9. .hack// series - I can't just single one one game, this series was quite the ambitious effort. Playing this game was the closest I've ever come to wanting to play an MMO either before or since, it was really that good.

10. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - For me, this is the best GTA game. I hate Scarface and the Scarface culture that it's developed in young folk, but this game almost made me like it. That's saying something powerful. And this game had, by far, BY FAR, the best soundtrack for a GTA game that I've had the pleasure of hearing. I could spend hours just driving around Vice City listening to Fever 105 and not even doing anything. Boy did this game give me the fever. Good thing my brother took our shared copy of the game (that he got me for Christmas) and then sold it away when he decided he didn't want to keep ultraviolent video games in his house anymore. I still don't think I've completely forgiven him for this

I really do need to pick up the last two games in the original PS2 .hack series, then I can move onto the next series of them.

There are few games where simply listening to music can get me to want to play them again: Final Fantasy VI-VIII, being prime candidates.

And fucking Persona 3. When I was listening to the sountrack on youtube the other day, I felt a real strong pull to play it again. No desire to try to sink another 70+ hours into the main story line, and another 30+ into the extra epilogue though at the time.

Pull is still there though.
