Canadian sitcom channels - how well to make them?

Post by isrs4life » Mon Apr 28, 2014 5:09 pm

How come canadian sitcoms channels fail to show better shows of the 80s
and 90s when dejaview the biggest retro channel of canada plays threes company
and all in the family after mash as there biggest shows each week.

How can you create a 90s theme channel without the right shows
I know tvtropolis was one that had a good start but failed and made
its self d-tour a channel that has no sitcoms what so ever.

I would love to see a more 90s plus sitcom channel with some one hour shows
that will work and not contain reality on them I know theres comedy gold
but that channel fails to me as well when mary tyler moore and lucy are on top
of prime time.

Greg or nucks do you know how this works with shaw or what I hope
we get a 3rd channel soon since tvtropolis was renamed dtour :(

Well, there's Comedy Gold and DejaView. Teletoon Retro if you count cartoons. Used to be Prime TV at one time. Uh, other than that there's not much in the way of dedicated rerun channels. But, for the most part if you can think of a TV show chances are its on Netflix or in syndication somewhere.
