The USA is leading Europe 9.5-6.5 going into the 12 Sunday singles matches at the Ryder Cup. Can they actually...

No I can't even finish that hypothetical. It's too crazy

I don't.....think those people were Democrats.

SNL took on the election last night and did an excellent job on all fronts.

Their conscience has told them to vote Republican in every election since the Carter Administration. That means they've voted for empirically bunk Trickle-Down economics, two failed invasions of Iraq, the worst recession since the Great Depression, a party that flat out said they were going to oppose every single thing that the first ever black President was ever going to hope to do, a party that supported the racist birther movement surrounding said president and now an ill-tempered, racist, misogynistic, narcissistic, incorrigible demagogue. I think their conscience might be broken.

Kind of like saying yeah, I'm Democrat but I haven't voted for them since they passed the Civil Rights Act. There's something there that they haven't quite caught on to, just a little bit.

Their consciences aren't broken, they're wrong

They're entitled to their opinion but they're not entitled to be agreed with, taken seriously or listened to.

Aye, and saying they're broken implies they can be fixed...which in many cases just isn't true

^^^ That article says a lot about our need to be polite even in the face of some of the worst ideas you can imagine. Neutrality is not balance.

In other news, well done to this lady for setting an example.

They've finally done it, folks, conservatives have dumbed down their base so much that they're trying to deny the existence of Hurricanes. The ignorance of these people has gotten so bad it's like being on the Titanic screaming iceberg and the captain and everyone on board says "Hey, that iceberg doesn't look so bad, it's probably nothing, fuck it, let's plough through it." This is a level beyond dumb or ignorant but at a place that is counter intuitive to your very basic faculties as a human being. Small children know not approach a lit stove no matter what the temperature, this tweet isn't even on that level, he's literally dumber than a toddler.

It's not even dumb it's at a level similar to when you lose your balance you don't even have the self-awareness to stop yourself from falling.

Good grief. Donald Trump even RT'd it, for fuck sakes. Wilful ignorance is in the rearview mirror. This is a complete detachment from reality.

When I first read that tweet, I thought he had to be sarcastic and was mocking the "deplorables" so I disregarded it. When I saw the tweets after that, that it was in all seriousness I just shake my head in disgust

Some real life consequences of Brexit....and yes it's going to get a lot, lot uglier. It's since been resolved but something like this is going to start happening with a lot more frequency. Oh, you want your country back? Well, Good luck finding all those imported products you're used to at reasonable prices because of the unstable markets and trade tariffs. Morons.
