Fascinating, gripping read from Huffpost Highline. Beautifully put together too. http://highline.huffingtonpost.com/arti ... llennials/

Much of it applies to most of us here, though as a Canadian, it isn't nearly as bad as the Americans have it.

Yes, a lot of it is very relatable. We're a crisis generation. We're faced with the reality that in a capitalist society that most of the capital has been accrued and hoarded by previous generations. If these economic trends continue our generation and future generations won't nearly have enough children due to lack of resources. The barriers to entry for achievements like having a steady job and owning your own home are getting higher and higher so people are simply giving up or are looking to alternatives.

You have to start asking questions about the current system too like how it's not a fucking radical communist idea to suggest that if someone is doing so well that they can afford to pump hundreds of millions of dollars into political contributions and turn a profit from the resulting tax cut to the detriment of society that maybe, just maybe they have too much money and should fucking pay more taxes.

Or that maybe private sector companies should be forced to recognize labor unions and make more of an effort to guarantee employees remuneration. It can't be allowed that you either have to be available for hours your not working even though you don't get paid or be forced to agree to certain conditions under threat of termination. It's unconscionable. Something has to change or else we're heading for a major decline.
