Yeah, I'm watching impact tonight on the fight network.

I thought the channel was removed on my fiber op while back but I found it in the 600's
then I noticed it was on channel 139 which makes me happy.

And I can consider watching wrestling mon, TUESDAY&wed every week.

And are you sure this is greg saying have at it for impact or did someone
hack his account?

This is 10 minutes from my house, my girlfriend is in Key West, and I could drive up to this show and sit in the 3rd row if I wanted. I have no interest to do this whatsoever, I'm still considering it though.

Lashley's peach trunks are throwing me off. And is that Deanglo Dinero/Elijah Burke on commentary with Josh Matthews?

What the hell, isrs? When have I ever discouraged the discussion of TNA? I don't watch it, and any time I've checked in, I've thought it's terrible, as well as being a morally reprehensible company, but I have always defended the freedom to talk about it free of trolling and ridicule.

Anyway, yeah, no way was I going to watch this.

From what I have read on the WV site it seems that it was PAW: Perfectly acceptable wrestling. Took a long time to get something that resembled that again and it might be too little too late. If I had the Fight network I might have even tuned in.

I did watch the show, didn't go to it. Thought it was horrible. All the classic signs that TNA doesn't get it are still present. For instance, I don't know much about TNA storylines, but here are some of them from last night:

1. The Beautiful People faced the Dollhouse in a horrible match, but one of the Beautiful People, Angelina Love, is pregnant. So they had to get someone to replace her, who did they get? The Knockouts Champion, Gail Kim. Great coup by them! But Gail starts the match and got her ass kicked immediately and was forced to tag out. She's the champion ffs and was the mystery partner, what's the point if she's just going to get beat up so easily?

2. They booked this huge World Title tournament that lasted 3 months, to only have the final be the same exact match that caused them to go to the tournament in the first place, ECIII v. Matt Hardy. The funny part about ECIII is that he's a great promo but he may literally be one of the worst wrestlers in America. He doesn't sell, his offense sucks, his punches suck, he is an abysmal in ring wrestler. He'd make a perfect manager in my eyes.

3. Matt Hardy was beaten up before his semifinal match with Eric Young, and showed no ill effects whatsoever.

4. The show was filled with talking and backstage segments, all of which were pretty bad. I still don't get why TNA shows these backstage segments as if they aren't supposed to be there. It's like they film them from a different hallway and are keying in on moments that are clearly meant to be caught on film. If they caught something like a potential swerve or alliance this way that's one thing, but every backstage segment is like this.

5. The Miracle Mike Bennett and Maria were easily the most impressive on the show. His gimmick is that pro wrestling sucks and that he's going to save TNA. That's his gimmick, that TNA sucks so bad that he has to save it and is a miracle. Jesus.

Ugh. So much for that, then. It's hard to glean any of that from a play-by-play review.

Best of all would be the "TNA Sucks" character playing a babyface.

I thought he was supposed to be a heel, but the people in my town didn't understand that I think. :(

Or just agreeing with him. "Why yes, Mr. Miracle, TNA does indeed suck. Thank-you for speaking up for us and we look forward to hearing more from you on this matter."

Well I watched most of it besides bobby roodes open challenge and beer money
reunited which James Storm returned to tna from being in nxt for a bit.

and

Matt Hardy&EC3 made it to the finals of the world title series and matt worked
hurt on his legs he put a decent match on with ec3 but couldn't man up to win
the title but ec3 capitalized better and won back the tna whc for a 2nd time he looks good.

I like that this is written as if I have any idea what the crowd did in response. I was saying that the peak-TNA thing to do would be to present "TNA Sucks" as a babyface character.

Also, I have no fucks to give for how American live crowds react to wrestlers, as it pertains to their dispositional alignment.

What with that being the EXACT reason why you took your ball and went home

No no, I stopped watching TV wrestling because the audience would hijack the show by doing things completely outside the purview of the show. Cheering the heels and booing the faces I could deal with. I don't like it, but I can deal with it.

I put that under the purview of how they reacted to the workers. My fault

The issue is that they stopped reacting, and switched to proactive obstruction.
