Yes a tablet is very helpful for creative and organisational purposes as well as containing a lot of contacts, network details and applications, it has a big screen so its easy to use for watching media and reading websites etc

I'm accually buying a laptop instead and its an hp one I cant see myself
using my fingers and I want space and I cant see that great on a tablet
I have been looking around I found a nice hp brand laptop but I have to save
a bit for it. A worker at costco said tablets are a watered down version of a lap top

Yeah, a laptop would be significantly better than a tablet. I don't think I'd get much use from a tablet. Once you get used to the laptop it will be easy. BTW, if you are worried about using your fingers, you could always buy a mouse that plugs into a USB port. They aren't expensive.

I did the same thing, though I don't need to use it anymore. I just went into a second hand place and picked one up for like $2.99. You could probably get a new one for under $10. The important thing is to make sure it plugs to a USB port, though, as not all laptops have the standard outlet for it to plug in. That goes without saying, maybe there's one at your mom's house you can use.

I only use a mouse with my laptop. I went into the drivers and disabled the touchpad because it kept interfering when I was trying to write.

Sorry, hate to interrupt, but this is stupid.

In case you guys weren't aware, this is 2014. Most laptops nowadays ARE actually functional tablets as well. My Sony Vaio laptop is only $600, and I even use it for gaming. So when I'm home, I'll set it down and use it like a personal computer. But when I take it with me, I can simply detach the keyboard and hey, what do you know, a fucking tablet.

But anyways, just letting you know that's the standard. A simple, decent laptop is considerably cheaper.
